Reverse Bone Loss with a Bone-Building Supplement
Strong bones are essential for continued health and vitality. As we age, our bones lose mass and become weaker and less dense. Building new bone is crucial, and the use of a bone-building supplement is the easiest and most effective means to ensure a healthy skeleton throughout life.
Calcium alone does not build new bone. Calcium helps prevent osteoporosis by preventing bone loss and keeping old bone strong. Daily Use of a Bone-Building Supplement is the Key to Bone Health
Tuft University researchers at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging have stated that individuals worried about bone health must continue to take a bone-building supplement or risk losing the benefits that the supplement provides. A study of nearly 400 men and woman aged 65 or older showed that discontinuing the use of a bone-building supplement, even after years of regular use, quickly resulted in the loss of benefits attributed to the additional calcium, strontium, and vitamin D contained in these types of supplements. For this reason, it is important to continue supplementation throughout life.
Ideally, calcium and strontium supplements should not be taken at the same time, as both minerals use the same pathways for absorption. Taking a calcium supplement along with a strontium supplement may significantly reduce absorption of both minerals and provide little benefit to bone health. For optimum health benefits, calcium should be taken in the evening, and a bone-building supplement containing strontium should be taken each morning before breakfast.
